Description :
Personnel: Eminem (rap vocals); D-12, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, Obie Trice, Stat Quo (rap vocals).

While Eminem has revealed levels of depth far beyond his Slim Shady persona, few could have anticipated "Mosh," the second single from his 2004 release, ENCORE. This song, by one of music's most controversial artists, features Em focusing his rage like never before, ultimately calling on the youth of America to rise up?and vote. While his brilliantly scathing tirade against President George W. Bush didn't lead to the politician's defeat, it certainly captured the country's attention and attempted to raise listeners' political awareness. It also effectively increased the already-huge stature of the expectation-defying Detroit rapper only a few weeks before his highly anticipated fourth record's release.

ENCORE is far from a letdown, as Eminem's twisted mind continues to produce razor-sharp rhymes, whether examining the world (the aforementioned "Mosh"), venting his spleen ("Puke"), exploring his soul ("Like Toy Soldiers") or just being plain silly ("My 1st Single"). While Em's inclination towards the shocking is well documented, other than "Mosh," the record is relatively toned-down; he even apologizes for racist comments made on a 1993 underground tape. However, that's not to imply that the proceedings are low-key; ENCORE burns with the fire of a master lyricist letting his words loose on whatever crosses his mind.

- no im sorry
ive got all em's albums ,they were all off the hook, but this ones just not there ,the first 3 i was instantly hooked, i might get used to this in time but its not on the level we are used to hearing from the man, he's got all his shady artists on here, 50, obie, d12, all i can say is rap is just gettin worse, some one should save it, krs one, public enemy etc should drop another bomb before 'rap' turns into watered down pop, some of you will love it but not me

- This album straight up sucks - and I'm an Eminem fan!
I'll give it 2 stars only because it actually has 3 decent songs - Mockingbird, Yellow Brick Road and Mosh. Just Lose It is not nearly as good as Without Me or even The Real Slim Shady, his previous first-singles.
The following songs are great for the 12-year olds that you see below my review:
- Puke (what a terrible, dumb song).
- My 1st Single (this might be Eminem's worst song ever).
- Rain Man (good beat ruined by Eminem's stupidity).
- Big Weenie (wait, THIS is Eminem's worst song ever!!)
All the other songs are way below Eminem's average and overall, are straight-up bad songs. Seriously, Obie Trice's "Cheers" is better than this album (and I'm white!).
And I absolutely LOVED The Eminem Show - it's the greatest rap album ever, and The Marshall Mathers LP was incredible - both are undeniably 2 of the greatest rap albums ever, even if you hate Eminem you have to admit it.
But "Encore" is truly garbage. All the little kids are gonna get this (can't you just tell by their biased reviews?). I'd recommend to simply download Just Lose It, Mosh, Mockingbird and Yellow Brick Road from iTunes (or however) and skip this crappy album.

- ALLRIGHT - ENOUGH.
Pus***s. That's the only word for it. If you are a fan and giving this album more than 3 stars, your review should be null and void. Who are you trying to fool - how does this compare to the last three cd that Slim Shady wrote? That's the problem - it doesn't and it shouldn't. The last 3 titles were excellent - they contained what most rapper's 50 point i.q.'s could have bearly picked up upon - political, social, and controversial issues mixed in with complex and difficult vocals, yet fun lyrics and good beats. Slim Shady will always be remembered as the guy who stood against the masses and said f*** the world despite the critics and he will be remembered as the only rapper, besides Tupac, that actually had some deep and intellectual meanings (if not at times overly sarcastic to the point of being questioned) behind the words he spoke. As a fan of Eminem, I feel it is my responsibility and duty to incorporate the ironies I've learned within the last Eminem cds and deliver you a shockingly controversial, yet politically correct message: This cd SUCKS BALLS. It lacks everything that Eminem stood for, and if your not comparing this cd to Eminem's last cds, then let it be known that you would have never heard this cd in the first place......no one would take this serious. Even the singles can't even compete with such horrid junk-a-crunk songs such as "freek-a-leek" and endless lil' john remixes. If Slim Shady has moved on and "grown-up" then perhaps all we are waiting for is his fans - who still think that any cd he brings out is above average.

- It's over...deal with it
Em's creativity was at an end with The Eminem Show. Here, the beats are all bog standard and unimaginative and the lyrics are all recycled from his first 3 albums. Dr. Dre is going through the motions as a producer and Em is afraid to break his now typecast molde and try anything new. There's nothing for you here but more of the same minus the passion.

- Horrible... pure trash
Eminem was on the top of his game on his sophomore album the marshall mathers lp. Since then his music has declined into one of the most monotonous and poorly produced albums i have heard. As a big eminem fan, i was extremely let down by this album... it's just not good. His first single 'just lose it' has none of the ingenuity of the singles from his previous albums and feels churned out last minute so that he can attract the mtv audience... the lyrics he spits just don't sound like the eminem that broke new ground with The Slim Shady LP. Maybe he's getting tired..but his lyrics just arent as satirical and fast paced as they once were. This album just seems as though eminem doesnt care anymore and just wants to make more money.
