As with fellow G-Unit member 50 Cent, Young Buck lived the life he relates. His life pours out gloriously and without apology on "Look at Me Now" and "Prices on My Head." Young Buck has hustled hard to get his chance, but on STRAIGHT OUTTA CASHVILLE, he offers a powerful panorama of street life.

Young Buck is the G-Unit southern representative, and an excellent one, I might add. Unlike other southern rappers, Buck isn't restricted to southern topics. His wide vocabulary and life experiences enable him to rap about practically anything, a rare talent in today's hip-hop world. Not only do his lyrics make an impact, but his delivery enhance them to a level that is almost unmatched.

A strong, thuggish track opens the album with "I'm A Soldier", an instant southern style, street classic. Another strong song is next with "Do It Like Me", with powerful lyrics to match the smooth beat. And up third is Buck's first club-banger "Let Me In", not up to 50's "In Da Club", but a fine song nevertheless.

Young Buck continues the awesome song trend with the next eleven songs. There's not a weak song to be found on the entire cd, a near miracle today. Standouts include "Prices On My Head", "Shorty Wanna Ride", "Thou Shall", Stomp", and "Taking Hits". And the songs not mentioned are very powerful as well, keeping the flow throughout the entire listening experience.

Overall, Young Buck has dropped an undeniable classic debut. This is definitely one of the best rap albums out there, and a great buy if you want some good rap to kickback to throw it up in the club. An excellent choice for any collection.

In my opinion, Young Buck is the best member of G-Unit - lyrically and rapping abilities. He really knows how to flow to a beat. And I'm able to find a message in every single song on this album (except "Shorty Wanna Ride" since that's just a club-banger).

Don't mix Buck in with the rest of those "Crunk Dirty South" junk rappers, because he's not one of them. He actually has things to rap about, whereas those guys do not.

"Straight Outta Cashville" also has real good production, and guest appearances from 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, The Game, Ludacris, Lil' Flip and others.

If you don't have this album yet, buy it! Trust me, you'll be bumpin' it for quite some time. I got it when it first came out and I still listen to it frequently. And look out for Young Buck's next album (not yet titled) which is scheduled for release Summer 2006.

Young Buck's first G-Unit release Straight Outta Ca$hville to me is one of the better G-Unit releases that has came out to this day. Comming from Tennessee, Young Buck adds a little southern flavor to the G-Unit company. "Do It Like Me" stands out, because I though Buck didn't have any lyrics, but on this track he does. He also shines on the club tasting " Let Me In" and "Welcome To The South" featuring David Banner and Lil Flip.

In the middle of the album, he does a few solo tracks like "Bang Bang", "Thou Shall" and "Black Gloves". The latter he aims a threat to Ja Rule and anyone else who beefs with him.

Guest appearances are okay. 50 Cent comes off okay with some of the tracks that hes on although I didn't like "I'm A Soldier" and him with Tony Yayo appearing on "Bonified Hustler". My favorite colab is the G-Unit and Dogg Pound colab at the end of the CD called "DPG Unit". Stat Quo does a medicore appearance on "Walk With Me" that wasn't appealing to me. "Stomp" has a tight beat that features The Game and Ludacris. T.I. had a verse on it but it was removed but you can catch it on the vinyl copy of this album.

Overall I like this album. It is actually one of my favorite releases by G-Unit and it hold it's own. If you don't have this album and you like southern music, I recommend this one to you.

I admit I didn't take lightly to him when he first joined G-Unit but this cd defiantely is in my top 10% out of over 600 cd's. I like it better than "Beg For Mercy" and some of the G-Unit bootlegs and better than Lloyd Banks' "Hunger For More". It's about as good as Power Of The Dollar (if you have it) and Get Rich Or Die Tryin (before I heard it everyday for a year) and Guess Who's Back. Guests are on about half of the songs and are mostly Shady/Aftermath artists. Production is great and handled by 11 different people, Andre HArris & Vidal Davis (2 songs), Needlez (2 songs), 3-6 mafia (2 songs), and Lil Jon, Sha Money XL, Kon Artis of D12, Red Spyda all do 1 song, and the other producers are ones I never heard of. It has 3 classics, 1 song I skip, and the other 10 are good songs. Go get a copy if you ain't got it yet you won't be disappointed if you a G-Unit fan.
