Wax Tailor Album: “In the Mood for Life”

I have found nary a poor result in anything that Wax Tailor has done, and this album is no exception. I decline to force my opinion with a track by track review, but I will recommend that you check this album out. If you think you might enjoy hip-hop infused, abstract funk type turntable mastery, look no further. His previous two albums are also completely slamming as well.

This cd is fantastic for entertaining, a eclectic mix of music that will have your guests asking what kind of music you are playing and where can they get it. A unique cd one that will have your friends talking.

truly does get you in the mood for live. a great any time any where album. a high level of listenability. smooth melodies with such a wide variety of inspirations from funk and jazz layed over hiphop beats and numerous vintage samples with that vintage/retro feel. when i dont know what i want to listen to, In The Mood For Life always finds it's way to the post. very fun, very easy going. from a cocktail party to sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee, this record never finds it's way to the shelf in our house. definately a must have in every collection. after this album, im not sure why i didnt just opt for the $100 box set.

This is the kind of album you can listen from start to finish. The mix between styles of music is fantastic.

Wax Taylor can be quirky, atmoshperic and fun, and there's some great tunes on this - Say Yes, I Own You.
