- Time brings change in mind!

All you people writing these mixed reviews disappoint me. This is in my opinion Warren's best effort. He sounds free from the industry- working with everyone and producing his own stuff. Sacrificing and giving all his hard work just to come back for the fans. You're talking about a man down and out and he still comes back for gfunk. Warren has changed in a great way. He has became more aggressive and outspoken. He attacks serious issues with his raps while also not loosing his roots. How can you hate on this record. Even though I love laid back rap it isn't well accepted anymore and I'm glad to see Warren change and show all these new era producers that he can do everything they can, he had just chosen not to, until now. The regulator is back and his change has brought his mind more time. They dogged him by not letting him produce on 213 and this proves that he is better than the neptunes, fred wreck, swizz beatz, anyone in my opinion. This guy came from nothing and can put a whole damn cd together by himself! I guarantee this album will do something big. I played it to my friends the other day and they loved it. People love guest appearances they love tight beats they love change so they should love Warren again. So all you people that over analyze take it from a midwest country boy Warren is makin it do what it do baby. peace

- Take a look over your shoulder:In the Midnite Hour the Regulator Wants it all

First of all:he's the MOST underrated beatmaker of the whole rap game.Everyone can say he's a clichè-rapper and it's true, but damn it, we love him for his laid back and fun lovin'music and he doesn't pretend to be a gangsta as everyone seems to do rite now.Talkin' about this new album, I gave it 5 stars becuse here Warren shows his skills at a higher level than before. Infact we have more than better-than-average G-funk s**t (as title track). Do U like Scott Storch? Warren does it better on track no. 3. Do U go crayzee for Kanye? Listen no.13. R U down witt Crunk muzic? The G-Child drops no.18 better than Lil Jon or anyone else. Mix with it a bunch of well-selected guests and U have one of Warren G's best drop. And fu*k whoever that don't roll with him!!!

- warren g is back...

his music hasnt been heard on the radio in a long time and finally he got a good single out. i went to his cd signing at the where house and that was tight...his cd has some old skool flava and mellow beats that u can chill to. it does make me think of 'lets get smoked out' music...i agree with the person that said there are some rhymes about stupid stuff like bling which didnt make me think of warren g at all. the productin is awesome, and yeah it doesnt seem to have a central main kind of beat or theme, and it wasnt as g funk as the past, but it's good.

- 3.5 star 5th solo for Warren G

Almost 4 years since his last solo (his worst solo album of his first 5) one of the G-Funk greats returns with a new 17-song album. Let me say I lean closer to 4 stars then 3 but I'd round it to 3.5. Although this one is better then his "Return of the Regulator", it's behind his first 3 albums (all worthy of 4.5 stars) it's nice to hear from the G-Child once again. Much like the 213 album, this one doesn't have much of a G-Funk sound that made us all love Warren through the 90's. Like all of his albums, this one has a ton of guest spots (only 2 songs don't have guests) and Warren isn't on 3 of the songs at all. It has 6 good songs, and the rest are ok, no real bad ones on here although I may skip 1 or 2. Production is handled almost exclusively by the G-Child (and he does a nice job), he does every song but 1 and 2 he co-produces, 1 with Raphael Saadiq and one with Andrew Gouche, the other track is nicely produced by Terrance Martin & Marlon Williams. A good album to have for his fans but far from his best, earlier works.

- ~G-Child Brings New Funk To The Game~

Warren G returns to the scene after a mixed-feeling album "Return Of The Regulator." Warren G has often been overlooked by high powered friends Snoop Dogg and sibling Dr. Dre over the years. This time around, G-Funk crooner Warren G brings more elements to his trademark smoothness and challenges a new line up for the guest list.

"On My Mind" opens the album well and sets the tempo with nice vibes as Chevy Jones and Bishop Lamont add emmensely to this one. "Do What It Do" lets others know about Warrens status in the game. "In Case Some Sh#t Goes Down" brings the south in and done nicely with Mike Jones backing the mic. "I Need A Light" is a strong track with Nate Dogg who can always garantee nice hooks. "PYT" brings 213 together and is smooth as ever.

This whole CD is occupied with 18 tracks and equipped with many nice achievements. G-Funk music itself is challenged with a newer sound. Live band sessions aren't as evident as in the last album. Bass levels aren't as strong. Guests are slim and akward in some places. But overall, great album and finally something smooth to play from start to finish!
