- Not just the same old tired genre...
... This is definitley not the same tired old gangsta routine. I believe that anyone who has an appreciation for music can agree that the production on this album is very tight and well assembled. And even if you may not like Twista and his speed-rapping sidekicks, the Speedknots, you have to admit (while their rhymes aren't the deepest out there) they all have talent and are very clever in their delivery. With all this said...how can you knock this album?? Just so you know...this is not a hip-hop album. This is a rap album. There is a difference, and a huge one. Intelligent hip-hop heads wouldn't even think twice to buy this album. If you consider yourself a hip-hop fan of any kind, you would have been turned away from this album simply due to the graphics on the cover (not to mention Twista's rep for being a known gangsta rapper). And just so everyone out there knows...the answer is yes. Real gangsters DO make music. Many of them rap or "MC" for all you real hip-hop fans. Many of them play sports...box...etc. If you think otherwise, you obviously haven't picked up a newspaper in your lifetime. Basically, music is not about genres. Music is supposed to be about life and your experiences in it. There will always be gangsters in this world, and some of them will want to make music. With this is mind...you should know that gangster music will never die. It is just like anything else. It has its own niche in society. If you are tired of it, them maybe you should join the force and contribute to our society. We need the help. I mean...even the East Coast is starting to be gangster now (Fabolous, Ja Rule, Jay Z even?!?). Hopefully you live closer to the Atlantic so you can put some of these people in jail where they need to be, and not partaking in the very same "genre" that all East Coasters used to diss as having no skills or substance. In conclusion...just do a little research before you go spending your money on an album that you will just end up wrongfully criticizing. I mean...its not like Twista ever USED to come deep and really make you scratch your head. He is what he has always been. Highly skilled, very clever and very entertaining.

- Clean Album all the way!
Twista & the Speedknot Mobstaz has made an really clean alum. Only one or two tracks are not 100% clean. Those tracks are nr. 8 (party hoes), and 13 (dreams)... the soulpart on dreams really suckz, so that and the whole party hoes track brings the album down a bit. But it's still a 5 star album, not a strong 5 though! Some tips on songs: 2 (crook county), 11 (loyalty) are really good ones..................

- Mostaz Elite
Following Adrenaline Rush, Twista teamed up with the duo, Speedknot Mobstaz, for a Chi-Town massacre. 14 tracks where the Mobstaz laced all The Legendary Traxster's beats. The title track is composed similar to N.W.A.'s "Alwayz Into Something" and is as nice as the original. As the trio calls out competition to "Mob Up" you get to journey with the "Legit Ballers" through Chicago. "Warm Embrace" is a song about loving and feeling guns. "Front Porch" features the vocals of Danny Boy to take the album to another level. Though most of the songs are slow to mid-tempo to compliment Twista's flow sometime the others don't stand up to his caliber. As they show another side on the commercial, r&b feel "Dreams", they equally shared the spotlight. "Crook County (Bone Crusher Mix) featuring Newsense is the fastest song that sets the tone for the rest to come on this lp. This is a must have for the production and lyrics both are impressive.

- One of My Top 5 Favorite CD's: Good from start to finish
Surprisingly, the Speedknot Mobstaz do not take away from what Twista and Traxter have to offer on this album. They blend fairly well with Twista, with pretty good speed and a similar sound. This CD is great all around. Every track, with the exception of the skits of course, is good. Most are great. In my opinion, this album is just as good as Twista's first album, Adrenaline Rush. Twista is finally getting the mainstream attention he deserves with his new album "Kamikazee" that is set to be released on January 27th. Just hope that any mainsteam attention Twista gets doesnt lead to a downgrade in his music. I hope to see another Twista and Speedknot Mobstaz collaboration in the future. If its even half as good as this CD, it would be a great buy.

- Mobstability
Chi-town's own Twista is well known for his rapid-fire lyrical tongue work. His first offering, Adrenaline Rush, introduced people to his brand of flavor. For this effort, he's linked up with crew members, Liffy Stokes and Mayz, who help form the Speedknot Mobstaz.
The two new rappers don't share the same fast-paced style as Twista, but they come with inventive flows and straightforward lyrics, nonetheless. The first song off their latest album is a tasty introduction from the trio, borrowing the classic beat from N.W.A.'s "Always N 2 Sumthin'."
Other choice cuts include the bouncy "In Your World" featuring Christopher Williams, "Crook County," and "Legit Ballers." On the production side, they've enlisted the skills of the Legendary Traxster who laced them with bass-heavy beats that hit hard.
Twista doesn't rhyme as much as one would expect, but this gives his partners a chance to shine. Overall, Mobstability is a good effort that is worth a listen.
