<p>When Trick Daddy emerged onto the hip-hop scene in the late '90s with his slurred rhymes and thugged-out lyrical content, Miami became one of the hottest spots for rap music. His smash hit single, "Nann," from his debut album, WWW.THUG.COM, turned the independent artist into a major star. His follow-up effort, BOOK OF THUGS, only managed to further advance his star. The underground jam "Shut Up" is straight-up Trick Daddy material, a cut that will have fans chanting its chorus over and over again. Trick even offers a surprise to his listeners this time around with the mid-tempo "America," in which the MC shows that thugs like him think about their country as much as they think about partying.

I have to say i really wasnt a fan of Trick Daddy but he mildly got my attention last year with Nann .. So i decided to check out his next effort in entirely.. I have to say he has expended his sound a little more with some very unique beats and rhymes .. Best tracks Boy Get on Up Shut Up with it's Swizz Beats like beat.. and very clever trombone loop Could it be other tracks are pretty tight also.. If u though Thug.com was good then Book Of Thugs, Chapter Ak Verse 47 will blow it away. If u want the best in the game today. Pick up the newest track from Trick Daddy. My favorite song is shut up because my high school band was in the video. Great work and congratulaions to the other band that joined us Miami Jackson Generals! Customer review - March 11, 2000 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: - Book of Thugs is tightest yet from Trick Daddy This album is tight from beginning to end. Tracks like "Boy" and "Shut Up" are tight and the track he does with Mystikal is just sick! A must buy. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: - Thug Testaments In Scripture Book Of Thugs: Chapter A.K., Verse 47 is the scriptures keeping it street as Trick Daddy's testament. Making suggestions of what to and not to do on "Boy" featuring The Lost Tribe & JV is more effective as everyone go back to back with punch lines. Taking signature Miami percussion tempo for "Get On Up" featuring The Lost Tribe, Money Mark & JV is a standout with its horn section as Righteous Funk Boogie captured the high school/college band feel with the production to march to. Using the same formula with an aggressive approach of a deep horn section highlights "Shut Up" featuring Duece Poppito, Trina & Co. "America" featuring Society is a reflection of America and what supposed to be constitutional rights showing why this country is failing. Showing the ladies what they are missing on "Thug For Life" featuring Kase & Mystic of The Lost Tribe proved to be an essential for this LP. Calling a spade a spade giving harlots their name with graphic tales on "Walkin' Like A Hoe" and closing with "Hoe But Can't Help It" featuring Buddy Roe. Whatever your vice is "Tryin' To Stop Smokin'" featuring Mystikal relates to any addiction and overcoming it. Understanding feelings and the depths shot by cupid's arrow "Could It Be" featuring Twista shows how love could find you even if you are not searching. To get on the "Thug Life Again" featuring Money Mark of Tre+6 "...a few good men with big guns..." is all that's necessary. Murder is the recipe for "K*ll Your A**" and "Gotta Let You Have It" featuring Buddy Roe has a mystic voodoo feel giving the album a rough edge for the with its nature. Obviously going into other chapters to complete this third chapter for Trick Daddy, Book Of Thugs: Chapter A.K., Verse 47 has a hidden agenda that we can come to agreement with. A man has many faces and depend on the situation witch mask will appear. As well as society and what's acceptable. And thou shall live happily ever after. |
