If you're a fan of Timbaland's production, this is a must-own CD single. Up Jumps da Boogie was the first single from Timbaland & Magoo, from their debut album "Welcome to Our World." I bought the CD single back in 1997 mostly because the beat was unlike most production at that time, plus Magoo reminded me a bit of Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Question.
Amazon doesn't provide the tracklisting, which is:
1. Radio Version (4:56)
2. Short Version (4:11)
The lead vocals are by Timbaland, Magoo, and Missy Elliot. Aaliyah (RIP) sings the hook. There isn't much difference between both tracks on the single, they simply cut out of a couple of bars from the second version.
This was #1 on the Hot Rap Singles Billboard Chart back in 1997, and it's still a catchy track to this day. If you're a fan of Tim's beats, be sure to cop this CD.
