- Such Promise
If these kids ever learn to write lyrics with any meaning, look out. Their beats are flat sick, sick I say! What those of us who are impressed by them fear most, I suspect, is that they'll hear so much praise for what they're doing now that they'll think they're just underexposed. In reality, it's those puerile lyrics that will hold them back more than anything else. In the rap game, the window of opportunity is just so short that they'll need to grow up quickly. If they don't, their beats will get knocked off by someone with something to say. What is strange, though, is that the kids can rhyme well. They just don't seem to have anything interesting to say.
- great album!
im a classics 90s hiphop lover, so for me to buy something post 2000s was a stretch, but because i heard about the cool kids on youtube i wanted to get some of their music, so i bough "when fish ride bikes" i was blown away. when i looked for more of their music online i came across "the bake sale" i cant put this cd down!
- Good Stuff
This is excellent old school style hip hop. I just wish the songs were longer. More More
- Jam to it.
Saw them first live, and after experiencing an awesome show, I had to have their tracks. They really were cool kids. Ended up bringing some fans on stage to dance- Chuck actually let one of the kids in the audience sing his part with Mikey. They're good guys and their music is a straight party. If you can't get your head bobbing to at least half of their tracks, there's something wrong with you!
- Old school
Pop this CD in and you will almost think you are listening to an old school album from way back.
This album is very well written and the beats are great. Some good bass for rattling your car. It is good to hear an album that does not cater to the mainstream of pop crap today.
