- Tech N9ne - Vintage Tech
After disapearing from the scene for a couple of years, Tech returns in 2005 with "Vintage Tech," an album with some of his best songs from his previous four albums and some of his greatest tracks that didn't make his albums.

4 Stars
Even though there was a lot of stand out tracks on here, I think Tech could have picked some better tracks. Lots of the hooks could have been better but since most of these songs are old it's understandable. Another annoying factor is that Tech talks at the end of every track, I don't like that at all. Good album though, check it out.
- excellent rapper
tech n9ne can rap like nobody else and his beats are off the chain
the best track is monster, but lots of his music is hot and his beats are so diffrent from song to song and his flow changes so much hes got real talent
- Some good classics on a major label release
If your looking to buy some Tech n9ne classics without having to pay an arm and a leg for it. this will be what you want. still missing essentials from calm before the storm and others.(IE ... questions and the original planet rock) overall i thought it was worth it here some of the rarities i had missed.
If you havent herd any of techs old stuff this is for you

- Vintage Tech
joehiphophead is abviously a total idiot. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A THUG TO RAP. Rapping is not about being hard, shooting people, selling crack or anything like that, its a culture and if you ever heard some pre Eazy-E/NWA hip-hop then you would realize that it wasent always like it is today. You can come from an upper class family or from a orphanage it really dosent matter if you have skill.
Now for my review. As said many times Tech N9ne is slept on like crazy, He proved that being able to download music promotes it not hurts sales. This album is a GREAT addition to the Tech fans collection, espically if you are just hearing about him now and you missed the early stuff. In this album he puts together a line of tracks that may have been on soundtracks (some of which never got released) or feature him but were only released independantly. So this is not a "new release" really its a "re-release" of a bunch of his old stuff, and it is not a "greatest hits" either, dont misunderstand that.

- Great cd with some stuff even I'd never heard
This is a great collaboration of some of Tech's older stuff and some of the newer stuff off the Absolute Power dvd. There are a lot of good tracks on here... the album starts out gritty and strange and moves into some songs that leaked years ago or were on local compilations but never got major distribution. There were 4 songs on this cd that I never heard before. #7 Red Necro is some more of that old school Tech and it's an instant classic where he attacks racism... My Own Hell is another great track I'd never heard before detailing a bunch of drama in Tech's life... every song on here is good, even SHE which is my least favorite track... it might even grow on me over time. My only question is, why isn't Questions on here? I'm talkin about the track he did with QD3 that was on the Gang Related Soundtrack... it should've been on here! Ideally this would've been a double album because there are some other Tech tracks that were off his local releases that are now out of print. And then there are tracks like Ain't No Killa where I don't even know the origin of that one... bottom line, be sure to check out this album and hopefully there will be another similar album with more material coming out soon
