So Solid Crew Album: “London's U.K. Garage Mafia”
Description :
This is a continuous in-the-mix CD compiled and mixed by DJ's Swiss and MC Harvey.

This is part of 303 Recordings "DJ MIX" series.

DJ Swiss and MC Harvey of London's So Solid Crew were early purveyors of garage, a dance music style that swept the U.K. underground, and eventually the pop charts, in the early 2000s, and preceded the grime movement that would arrive a few years later. LONDON'S U.K. GARAGE MAFIA is a compilation of songs by a variety of artists that fit under the "garage" moniker and could be heard at the time of the album's release on SO SOLID SUNDAYS, the group's venerable pirate radio show. While some of the rapping and lyrics might sound childish, it's the sheer intensity of the tracks--the propulsive rhythm above all--that becomes the dominant force in the songs. The album serves as an appropriate introduction to U.K. garage, and furthermore acts as a history lesson about a sound and a scene.

- Uk Garage as we know it
This compilation brings us the newest and most diverse uk garage since Wookie. Where all the other garage albums are mostly picks from the newest 12" and are mixed together by a big name. This one is from head to toe different. No similar sounding tracks and no remixes from corny RnBsongs. There is one thing i have to get warn you for, if you dont like 1 song from the solid crew, you probably wont like them all. 2stepping

The so solid crew are wicked, they are the second best in the UK after the Genius crew, without a doubt.
