- not what I expected....

I thought that this would be the next Slum village album, but it isn't. This album only has one or two Slum Village songs on it, and the rest are unknown rappers. The album is in mixtape fasion, with a DJ yelling at the beginning of every song. If you're looking for the new Slum Village album, it comes out July 30 and it's titled Trinity (it has their new joint Tainted on there as well)

- The Group I have been anticipating on

Slum village I would just like to thank you for saving real hip-hop music nowadayz. I have been in tune with these fellas since 2000 when I first heard them on Common Sense album "Like chocolate for water". This group is very unique with their style and beats. Jay dee who is the producer of the group put together smooth beats for Busta Rhymes, Common Sense, Tribe Called Quest, and many others. Over the past years this group has became a "heavy rotation" for me. Dirty District is another classic just like Fantastic vol.2. I love their music and would recommend real hip-hop headz who like unique beats and styles or just like fun music to please purchase the album. These guys are talented Jay dee, T3,and Baatin much love to ya'll.

- Slum Village, thats all you have to say.

Man everybody on this Cd knows how to flow. Great Cd Still not as good as Fantasic Vol. 2 but what is? Even a tight intro by T3. You gotta buy this.

- Reminds me of that J88...

Slums best work is on Fantastic volume 1 and volume 2. All that other miscellaneous stuff is just wack...this album included. I can't wait for Trinity to drop. I hope Jay Dee is doing all of the production (even though he did a terrible job on Welcome to Detriot). And whoever said that Slum comes correct with the lyrics must be bugging! The production and the flow is dope, that's why I like this group. But they are, by far, no lyricists!

- da real ish!

SV is back again bringing sunshine to my speakers, and musical sustanance to my ears. It is critical in these mainstream hip hop days to keep the pure hip hop at its purists form. These folks have the formula as far as im concerned. Even tho they have minimal appearences on this album, when compared to Fantastic 1, 2, and J88, but this album shows that when the Slum puts thier name on something its best to just cop it there and then. With the exception of about two songs, the "let it spin" factor of this album is good. If this is your first aquintence with SV, you have to start with Fantastic vol 2, and vol 1, then J88 if you can find them.
