- Very innovative.

If you have liked other Prefuse, you will certainly like this short album. Once again, the beats are ambient, yet grounded in a solid groove. This album is worth the money. Great beats!

- Wooooohooooooooo!!

If you enjoyed the Prefuse73 album , then you will really appreciate how his sound has changed but hasn't . In other words , as usual , there are no songs that can be compared to any of his other songs in any way except they bring a distinctive sound that really feels right to my ears . Also , most importantly , he brings a lot of funk . I love Delarosa & Asora , and Savath & Savalas , but I must say that I think his work is at its most inspired with Prefuse73 ( a lot more upbeat as well ).

In fact the only bad thing I can say is I wish it was a full album because it leaves you craving so much more . But in terms of it being a single it is really great . All songs I never heard before . As usual , not a boring moment . Buy ' One Word Extinguisher 'when it comes out .

- Prefuse 73 - The '92 VS '02 Collection

_The '92 vs. '02 Collection_ almost sounds like a cross between Prefuse 73 and various other influences. "Desks.Pencils.Bottles" seems to take some found sound pointers from Herbert, while "When Irony Wears Thin" has some orchestral hits overlaid on some funky blippery. "It Never Entered" mixes easy listening choruses into a more abstract musical context, and "Love You Bring" hints at Scott Herren's other project, Savath + Savalas with a gentle guitar loop. Righteous.

this was one of the very first CD's i owned, my parents had recently been divorced and at 12 it was hard. i had heard of prefuse 73 from my uncle and i had see this cd at the local record shop. my father bought it for me as my only christmas gift that year and i was kinda disappointed because even though that is what i wanted i knew it only cost him $9. i fell deeply involve with this album and a few years later i got an ipod shuffle fro my mother as a birthday gift. i remember long car rides in the middle of the night with these heavy syncopated rhythms pounding away in my ears. i only needed these four magical tracks to teleport me to another world. i would fall into deep meditation unknowingly and i would dissect every scintilla of this music. my mind would follow every beat and my mind would perform the complex ballet i had created to accompany it.

i recently had a long cold walk back to my house and i had my ipod (no longer the 512mb stick but a 160gb classic) i had no head phones but a friend let me borrow her before embarking on my walk. they were the exact earbuds that came with my very first ipod and i felt a sense of nostalgia putting them back in their home in my head. i scrolled through and found Prefuse 73, whom i had neglected for many years. and though perfect of it seeing as how i had my old earbuds why not my old music? i put this album on and i began listening to it and i almost cried because i had forgotten how much i loved my parents and how much i loved this album

this, and many other 7 albums were pretty much all i listened to from 6th through 8th grade and this album in particular will always hold a special place in my ipod/heart
