Plies Album: “Definition Of Real”

Plies Album: “Definition Of Real”
Description :
The Fort Myers-based rapper known as Plies continues to step up his game on his sophomore release, DEFINITION OF REAL. With a jarring vocal presence, Plies spins hardcore tales of street struggle over tracks by J.R. Rotem, Midnight Black, and Drumma Boy, among others. In "Bushes," the record's most inventive lyrical outing, Plies warns haters where they can find him creeping if they get on his bad side.

- HOT

Yeah, Plies is "HOT" alright...HOT GARBAGE! Don't waste your money on this CD. I didn't buy it, my sister did. We listened to it on a road trip and I didn't like any of the songs. This wasn't any different than any other of the wack rappers that's out now. Heard it all before!! No originality or substance...In other words, he ain't talkin bout nothin!! I'm not a hater and I can't knock him because he's getting his money, but the product he's putting out is trash.

- Album is better than average 3.5

Plies gives an album that is diverse in sound. It is a good Sophmore effort. I just feel like he is missing something in some of the songs. Listening to the album makes me wish Juvenile releases a new album. Plies reminds me of Juvenile (but with slightly rougher flow that needs to be polished) All in all a good album for the streets.
