- Pre-Fix For Death

Necro, along with everyone at Psychological Records are my guilty pleasure in life. You see, I'm strictly a metal head. I listen to Death Metal (Deicide, Morbid Angel etc.), Black Metal (Mayhem, Burzum etc.) and...well...Metal (Slayer, Metallica etc.). With that in mind, I must confess that this is one of my favorate albums of all time.

First things first, you cannot deny Necro's ability as a lyricist. He is simply amazing at rhyming and has a vast vocabulary. You don't have to get into it for the lyrics either. Necro produces all of his beats and judging by the sound of this, he is nothing short of a musical genius. He gives you that fat Brooklyn sound (Death Rap, Push It To The Limit), and not to mention some of the most evil beats constructed by man (The Dispensation Of Life And Death, Human Consumption).

The thing with Necro is the fact that his material may appeal more to metal heads then it would to hip hop heads. On this album you'll find guest appearances from metal legends of the past and future.

Allow me to do a song for song analysis.

1. Intro: A creepy intro spoken by Charles Manson himself.

2. Beautiful Music To Die To: The first song on the album. Once this is heard, you realize that Necro is up there with any Death Metal band in terms of gore and overall brutality.

3. The Dispensation Of Life And Death: Probably my favorate track on the album. This has a violin based beat that is, hands down, the creepiest thing I've ever heard put on a cd.

4. Kill That S***: A straight foreward bludgeoning of rhymes. Fast paced and to the point.

5. Pre-Fix (Skit): A very humourous and original skit. I won't ruin it for you.

6. Pre-Fix For Death: Great title track featuring Away of Voivod behind the drum kit. This one "rips through your flesh."

7. Push It To The Limit: An awesome song with a horn based street beat. Features Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed during the chorus.

8. Reflection Of Children Coming Up In The Grave: Another creepy number beat wise. This song is about growing up in the hood.

9. "It" (Skit): This one crack me up every time. It's really just taken from the movie The Silence Of The Lambs, but it'll still have you rolling.

10. Insaneology: Great metal influenced track with a great number of guest appearances, including vocals from the singer of Obituary. I swear, you'll think this is a Death Metal song during the first minute or so.

11. Nirvana: This is a good taste of the Circle Of Tyrants project that is due out later this year. Great rhyming from Necro, Mr. Hyde, Goretex, and Ill Bill.

12. 86 Measures Of The Game: Necro's opinions on how women should be treated. Hilarious and clever.

13. Empowered: Another metal influenced track.

14. Kid Joe (Skit): A hilarious flow from everyone's favorate Kid Joe.

15. Human Consumption: A song about cannibalism. Probably one of Necro's most clever lyrical content since Dead Body Disposal.

16. Evil S***: Extremely evil song with an extremely evil beat.

17. You Did It: Necro addresses suicide unmercifully.

18. Rogue (Skit) : Another Silence Of The Lambs skit

19. Death Rap: One of the greatest beats Necro has ever done. Also features Sabac.

20. Watch Your Back: A rap metal masterpiece.

21. Food For Thought: A silly song about take out food.

22. Important Statistics (Skit): A very important listen.

23. Senseless Violence: Another sick song with a girl singing an extremely vulgar chorus.

24. Push It To The Limit (NYHC Mix): A metal version of Push It To The Limit

25. Outro: A short outro done by Charlie himself.

All in all, you get 25 tracks without a mediocre song. Highly recommended for metal heads and gore fiends alike!

- Dont sleep on this

This Necro album Prefix for death is definitely what I have been waiting for. An amazing line up from Jamey Jasta & Sean Martin of Hatebreed, Sid #0 of Slipknot, Away of Voivod, John Tardy of Obituary,Dan Lilker of S.O.D/Nuclear Assault (You'll know who those cats are if you're a metal head like me,other than that the usual goons featured are Ill bill, Mr. Hyde, Goretex, Sebac and Kid Joe. The songs are quite different from each other. Not too repetitive. Overall this ish is hot and I highly recommend buying this scumbags. My favorite and I think the most brutal track on this joint is Human Consumption. Be on the lookout for Goretex solo album Oct.10th "The Art of Dying" Get juxed in the grill!

- Pre-fix

It was a decent c.d with a rugid mix of death metal and raw beats. Of coarse expect the usual death sentence from Necro and

a few surprises.

- Necro-The Pre-Fix For Death

The Pre-Fix For Death is one of my favorite albums by Necro. With each progressing album, Necro steps up his game lyrically, and production wise. For me, this album stood out the most. First of all, this album is heavily metal influenced, so it appeals to metal heads, as well as hardcore hip hop heads. The fusion of the two is great. At least when Necro does it. All production is handled by Necro. The sound quality is outstanding, as expected with Necro. His flow is smooth, brutal, fast, and in your face. He is extremely intelligent. Just listen to his wordplay and what he is saying. Trust me, it will blow your mind. Check out the track Empowered to understand what I mean. The production is great. Every track has a sick beat. He is a genius behind the boards. Every snare hits hard, and the sample choices are nice. When you hear the metal tracks, with heavy guitar and drums, it sounds great as well. Besides rapping straight death, he has great concept songs. Check out You Did It (suicide), Human Consumption (cannabalism), and 86 Measures Of Game (his views on women).

This is why this album is one of my favorite albums by Necro. Everything shines here from lyrics to production. Any real hip hop fan will love this. If you love brutal rhyming at it's best, look no further. It's fresh and it just sounds great. True hip hop music. If you're just getting into Necro, this is a pretty good start as well. Be sure to look out for his upcoming album, "Die!" set to drop in January/February 2010.
