Guests Three 6 Mafia, Chyna Whyte, and Ludacris are just the icing on the cake in this testosterone-fueled collection that's as infectious as it is powerful.
When Lil Jon says he's gonna bring the pain, you'd better believe it. But "Where Dem Girlz At" shows the Boyz's softer side, though it's pretty well-hidden ("you wear them three-inch heels/you can cook a good meal"). And in case you've missed their point, they come back with "I Like Dem Girlz" and "Nasty Girl," which though they're not exactly Marvin Gaye-seductive, at least provide a counterpoint to the instigating, club-oriented "Bia' Bia'," also the album's first single.
Poster boys for the Dirty South, Atlanta GA's Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz follow up 2000's WE STILL CRUNK with a set of fearsome rhymes, thick-as-molasses beats, and enough macho posturing for a whole season of WWF tournaments. this music is terrible if you're in a sober state of mind but once you start drinking its great party music. lil jon and the eastside boys are kinda of like a drunken male cheer leading squad

- You eatin off hip hop and I hope you choke onthe gimmick!!!!!!!!

When are we gonna start boycotting this bubble gum pop bull S%%T! Lil john is one of the worst emtertainers on this earth. His flow is rough and terrible and he wastes beats on a regular basis. I guess all of the zombies and sheep won't appreciate me dissing this retarded muppet but someone has to stand up and say something. This album is a just like a vicious string of herpes infecting the youth of many nations. We need some hip hop penicillin like KRS ONE, Mos Def, and kweli

- GUILTY PLEASURE

Being a open-minded and very diverse music fanatic sometimes opens me to music that may not fit my personailty but I enjoy anyway.

This explains Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boys.

My crazy friend Andy let me borrow me it and I was exposed

to something that,as I said,wasn't my personailty,yet I enjoyed

it.

Now,let me get some things across:I know my hip hop,I once

lived in Atlanta(where I got exposed to a lot of dirty rap

and booty-shaking bass music-which I loved as well),and Lil' Jon's "Bia Bia" was one of the songs that got stuck in my head

the most this year.

But honestly,crunk-hop wasn't something that I was eager

to listen to,recently. But they may be changing ever since

I listened to Lil' Jon's new album,"Put Yo' Hood Up".

Of course my song "Bia Bia" gets a warm reception(the album

version is better arranged and just better-sounding than the

video version). But the busy title track and "Who U Wit" are

among my other favorites as well as the dirty "Let My N**ts Go"

(featuring the always wholesome Too Short-that was meant to be

sarcastic).

Southern rap may be booming right now. With artists as

diverse as the artsy OutKast to the frantic Mystikal and Petey

Pablo to the comical Ludacris, the Dirty South is the new

hip hop mecca. And Lil' Jon is a just another intresting

face in the multi-facted South.

- WHAT?! OKAY!

I love Lil Jon but there are two things I must point out about this product. First, if getting on vinyl, its a single. Or atleast the one that I recieved was. On side A there are three different versions of Put Yo Hood Up. Radio, street, and instrumental. Total time around 14 mins. On side B there are three different versions of Cant Stop Pimpin. Radio, street, and instrumental. Total time around 18 mins. So together with side A and side B is around 30 mins, give or take. The second thing to point out is that the record comes in a blank jacket. Which is orange by the way with a black and red label listing what is on the record. Its cool cause at the bottom it says, Caution: Known to cause riots. The record itself is on red vinyl with a white label. I was wanting the full album and got a single but its cool. I only paid a few bucks for it. By the way its the first vinyl record ive ever bought and owned.
