- K'naan is true Hip Hop

Original Hip Hop began as people telling their life stories thru music but now we have Hip Hop artists telling fabricated stories. K'naan takes Hip Hop back to it's roots and keeps it real by writing rhymes about his life in the ghettos of Africa. "The Dusty Foot on the Road" basically has the same songs as K'naan's other album "The Dusty Foot Philospher" but they have subtle differences such as beats and this album has less songs. It's still a must have due to the fact that if you're a avid Hip Hop fan as I am, K'naan gives you what you want. "Soobax" and "What's Hardcore" are probably my favorite tracks on this time around. The different beat that accompanies "Soobax" on this album is a beat that puts you in a trance while listening to it. That's how deep K'naan is. I really recommend this album to everyone who loves true Hip Hop in it's purest form or just the casual listener, who loves deep lyrics that are straight from the heart.
