- Not New York Sounding enough for me....Lyrics tights but...the album is ok overall...

I say ok because the lyrics are amazingly tight, however the beats are not what I expected from a NY emcee. I have never been a big Dipolmat fan, but since I enjoy Hell Rell's music I thought I would venture out a little more and try out someone else besides Hell Rell. Lyrically Hell Rell is the best emcee the Dipolmats have to offer. JR is second in my opinion. After reading the reviews here I thought maybe I will try out some of JR'stuff. As a southerner myself and a fan of New York Hip Hop, I can't stand it when an artist from NYC attempts to sound like an artist from the south. It just does not work. Stay true to that New York sound... Clearly JR can rap over any beat which is good, it just seems like they over did it with the poppy high snares and hi hats on this one.
