This is a DualDisc, which contains a CD on one side of the disc and a DVD on the other.

Personnel: Jim Jones (rap vocals); Fatal Hussein, 40 Caliber, Max B, P. Diddy, Paul Wall , T.K., J.R. Writer, Denise Weeks, Trey Songz, Hell Rell, Jha Jha, Juelz Santana, Latiff, Cardan (rap vocals).

While Jim Jones's 2004 debut, ON THE WAY TO CHURCH, built a darkly surreal world befitting a man whose name and religious references recall a maniacal 1970s mass murderer, the Dipset member's second solo record, HARLEM: DIARY OF A SUMMER, is a bit disarming in its hooky brightness. In fact, the title-track ode to Jones's home neighborhood, with its breezy jazz hook and friendly spirit, is a positive beacon of light.

Jones's voice, dripping as it always is with a feeling of impending doom, pairs in a wonderfully grotesque way with the buoyant beats behind him, whether he's boasting over a heavy bass ("Baby Girl"), eulogizing atop a classic old-school beat ("Tupac Joint"), or rapping about a mix of desire and betrayal in a unique sample of the Isley Brothers' "Between the Sheets" ("Summer With Miami").

- Jim Jones is doin big things
After buyin the previous album (on my way to church)I thought Jim Jones was a weak rapper, the only 2 cuts I liked off it were certified gangstas, and crunk music. But on this album he really did his thing, better beats, better rhymes, and he proved he don't need Killa Cam to make a hit single. I'm a dipset fan and I feel Jim Jones really proved why he's Capo status.
THIS ALBUM IS FIRE IF YOU'RE A DIPSET FAN YOU NEED TO GO GET THIS!!!

- STICK TO YOUR DAY JOB JIMMY!
EVEN THOUGH HE IS THE GENERAL MANAGER OF THE DIPSET CREW
AND DIRECTS VIDEOES AS WELL BEHIND THE CAMERA,WHY DOES HE
WANT TO RAP ANYWAY?,YOUR PAID, JIM NOT EVERYBODY CAN DO IT
BUT I APPLAUD YOUR EFFORTS THOUGH IM NOT GOING TO KNOCK THAT
WHATS SO EVER,IT TAKES A LOT OF GUTS TO PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE
LIKE THAT,ANYWAY I LIKED THE "MIAMI JOINT" WITH TREY, DAM I HOPE
HIS NEXT ALBUM IS WAY BETTER,BECAUSE HIS PIPES ARE THROUGH
THE ROOF TO WASTE ON WACK SONGS,THERE'S A FEW IPOD WORTHY TRACKS
BUT THE KEY WORD IS "FEW " ENOUGH SAID (OUT)

- Awesome New Album!!! Jim Jones
I must say that this album is the best I've heard from Jim and the rest of the Dips. I am a HUGE FAN and buy all their albums and mixtapes. You did very good Jimmy. Make another one real soon.
- Surprised Me!
Was not really a Jim Jones fan at first but made the purchase on its release date. Turns out I really liked this album. And the features by Tre Songz was nice. Favorite track is Summers in Miami...it's a staple in my list of summer jams.
