- dimensions of the mind

This album is absolutely incredible. In fact it may be my favorite album of all time, not just hip-hop, but overall favorite (although Led Zep III gives it a run for its money). It took me about 7 or 8 listens through before I truly fell in love with this disc. The first time I heard it I thought it was just kind of wierd with a lot of biblical references. After many listens however, the stuff just seeped into my brain and blew me away. People who think that the lyrics are sub par on this album are idiots. They simply don't understand them. The album isn't strictly biblical either, in fact most of the "biblical" references aren't from the bible at all, but rather the Apocrypha, the Pseudepigrapha, the Gnostic Gospels, and other alternate writings about Christ and God that are not part of traditional religious teachings. The album then delves into conspiracy theories like "Jesus Christ was really an ancient astronaut" and other such sweet insanities. Also there is dialogue of Kevin Spacey from the movie SE7EN cut in (they've done this on other albums as well, I believe Pi is on VBD, and Boondock Saints on VOG), which gives it a kind of creepy feel.

All I really have to say is that this album is cool. And by cool I mean totally sweet.

- my favorite j.m.t album

Personally this is my favorite JMT album of all, even though I think it was experimental and really not their true style. For those who are fans of JMT, know that Violent by Design and Visions of Ghandi have a more aggresive, violent overtone apposed to the metaphysical nature of this album. This album has topnotch production and the lyrics speak for themselves, but what this album did was introduce me to the Lost Children of Babylon. They have become my favorite group bar none. Everybody knows Ikon is a lyrical monster but even he seems outmatched by Rasul, Breath of Judah and Ancient Kemet. Check out The Three Immortals and Books of Blood and you'll see what I mean. This isn't your typical album the content is over the heads of most but then thats the beauty of it. I Really enjoy this album with the afore mentioned tracks being my favorite, a must for true hiphop fans.Don't sleep on LCOB, and support these brothers, they bring a postive vibe which is much needed in hiphop. Support the underground the life force of a dying artform.

- Possibly The Best Rap Album Ever Made

In the Psycho-Social LP Jedi Mind Tricks (Stoupe The Enemy of Mankind and Ikon The Verbal Hologram aka Vini Paz) reached perfection, both lyrically and musically. Stoupe's dark brooding tracks that fortell of a dark future looming on the horizon, teamed with The Verbal Hologram's potent lyrical mastery. However it is the appearance of The Lost Children of Babylon, fellow local Illadelphian street poets, that gives this album its' mystically endowed evolution and unique sound. Though not preaching by any means the Children braught a religious as well as mental cohesiveness to the project that JMT later releases lack. Truly this is Jedi Mind Tricks at their finest and I recommend that any true rap or Hip-Hop fan run out and buy this CD. Also as an added bonuse some tracks have been added to the end of the CD that retrace JMT back to 1991. Though many believe that this was their first album they are mistaken, an EP entitled The Amber Probe EP which I believe was only available on vinyl.

- Great, but not for everyone

If you are a rap fan who enjoys generic "club" beats and mainstream rap, this album is not for you. Stoupes groundbreaking production dictates his personal style and creativity. Most of his beats on this cd and those that came afterward are exceptional. It is unfortunate that this cd doesn't have the greatest quality. A far as the rhyming goes, Vinnie Paz rip every track. While VInnie has aged his lricism from this point, the best content in his music is here. Songs like I Who Have Nothing can be dissected and picked apart to find such depth and meaning that would make any true philosopher proud. The only problem with this cd is that it caters to a select few. Most people will not be intelligent enough or just plain not like this style due to the fact that they haven't been exposed to anything like it. I would suggest listening to it first before buying. But if you are fans of this genre of hip hop, this album is great.

- Original and great album

this cd is a creative and original one, this is Jedi Mind Tricks first album and it is a classic, some tracks get a little weird such as "Chinese Water Torture", but besides that these tracks have that early 90's lyical skill to them plus it has some scientific lyrics, and you guys know how stoupe gets down on the beats, so go and check it out.
