Disco de Jamie Foxx: “Intuition”
 Descripción (en inglés) :
Though his singing career has largely taken a back seat to his hugely successful run at the box office (starring in Oscar-winning roles such as 2004's RAY), Jamie Foxx has had his feet planted in both artistic camps since his seldom-heard 1994 debut, PEEP THIS. Continuing his breakout 2005 album UNPREDICTABLE's seductive blend of romantic R&B-balladry and smooth bedroom jams, INTUITION finds Foxx upping the tempos and electronic treatments, with the intent of translating his hit-making formula for club audiences. Enlisting a Grammy-pedigreed cast of producers and guest artists, including T.I., Lil Wayne, and T-Pain, the album benefits from its star-studded rotation of guest spots--serving as able hype-men or nimble rhymesmiths on material that could, otherwise, have been fairly middling relationship fodder. On the lead single, "Just Like Me," Foxx's smooth, synthetic croon rides confidently over an appealingly bouncy melodic hook while T.I.'s roughneck swagger provides gritty contrast. While INTUITION lacks some of the immediate pleasures of Foxx's Kanye West-produced collaboration with Twista, "Slow Jamz," it still packs enough surprises and twists to keep it in good stead with 2008's other big album by a fellow R&B singer-turned-actor, Beyonce.

- Somewhat Disappointing
I really like Jamie Foxx but this cd is decent at best. It could have been so much better. The production is all over the place. Also, the vocoder is unnecessary. He does not need to use it since he can actually sing. T-Pain needs it. This cd is definitely different from Unpredictable. That cd was very mature. I feel he regressed a little bit. He didn't need to fall into the trap of doing what other artist's are doing.

- Not Good
For those who seem to think that you must like everything an artist puts out if you call yourself a fan is ignorant. So, you are simply saying that even if the artist puts out complete garbage that you have to like it because you liked his last album. That's just dumb. I liked his last album a lot, but this one is very weak. He should be showing growth from his previous album, and does not. I feel like he is trying to be a 22 year old r&b artist rather than showing his age, experience, and maturity. It's garbage!

- Is it really necessary ?
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Jamie could sell just as many records without all the trash lyrics. I feel he is an excellent R & B singer I love his voice and musicality. But I can't even play his music in my car with my 7 yr old in the back seat. I just feel it is unnecessary. Why not try Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis next time or Raphael Saddiq for producers. Yeah, I know it's old school but old school is timeless. I saw Jamie on Jay Leno last week and I waited to hear a sample of this new cd and I was not impressed. There are two CDs coming out today that caught my eye. I will be purchasing only one, Anthony Hamilton. At least I can play it around my child and she may even learn something.

- Intuition or Immature?
Jamie Foxx is easily one of the best vocalists in today's R&B world. Yet for some reason he seems to not be reaching his full potential. It seems as though Jamie is not making the type of 'adult' R&B that a man of his vocal talent and age should. He is not a 20-something anymore and since he is now in his 40's, I feel as though his music should have a maturer message and theme.
My Album Favorites:
Overdose
Slow
Rainman
Just Like You

- I Think this CD is better than Unpredictable
I love Jamie's new CD it is totally different than Unpredictable. The reason why I ended up buying it was because of "Number One"!! I heard it and immediately started moving to it. I love romantic music too, but I am so glad Jamie proved he is versatile. He just showed you can't put him in a box! I got tired of Unpredictable really quick, but I think I will be jamming to Intuition for a long time. Most of the new CD that have come out recently are sampling old school music, but Intuition is total original. I'm love old school, but I'm also open to all genres of music and this CD just makes you feel good. I have to give Jamie props for making me want to jam even though America is in an economic crisis. Wine and candles are good but sometimes it feels good to hear something that just makes you wanna get up off your behind and move!!! I'm snapping my fingers to this CD!! Way to go Jamie!!
