Hollywood Undead Album: “Swan Songs [PA]”

Hollywood Undead Album: “Swan Songs [PA]”
Description :
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
Personnel: Paul Pavao (guitars).
Additional personnel: Dean Saenz, Josh Freese, John Tempesta (drums).
Programmer: B.C. Smith.
Audio Mixers: Paul Pavao; Ben Grosse.
Hollywood Undead specializes in an L.A.-flavored high-tech rap metal. If this was 2001 or so, they'd just be another face in the crowd, but the relative dearth of this once-popular fusion genre now makes their funked-up headbanging sound quite original. "Black Dahlia" pushes chugga-chugga guitars to the background as atmospheric synths take center stage as a sung chorus competes with the thuggish raps, and "This Love, This Hate" could almost be a gritty Duran Duran with its glossy new wave backing.

- Between ICP and Eminem lie Undead Hollywood

I'm not a huge fan of hip-hop/rap so I get excited when I find something I can enjoy. These guys have the sarcastic edge and frivolity of ICP with the clever backhanded 'lyrics' that make me enjoy the Slim Shady. They add to this a solid musical base that really demonstrates these boys aren't just playin', there is some real musical aptitude here. I haven't been this excited about a band since I discovered the Skanking Pickles (RIP you beautiful jello heads)

- Not my favorite HU cd...

I know this was Hollywood Undead's biggest album, but I can't figure out why. Most of the songs are either about Los Angeles or getting ****faced and partying. Maybe I'm just being naive but I only like about half of the songs on this album. More of a party album than an HU cd.

- Awesome album

Got this cd and two others that I ordered at the same time. Was delivered when it was said it would be and in the condition it was said to be.

- This CD is amazing.

I never buy CD's but I bought this one because this is a new band and one of my favorites. I don't like it anymore when Duece got replaced with a guy from Americana Idol

- The Original Hollywood Undead

Good for their first CD, the quality is great and I had wanted this one for a while! I was so used to the live tracks before I heard this one, but now I am interested in all of Hollywood Undead's work.
