- An extremely pleasant surprise
I bought this CD off the shelf without knowing a thing about the band. It was labeled as Rock-Alternative which is my typical genre, so I figured I'd give it a go. What I heard when I popped the CD in was not at all what I expected.
What I heard was one of the most interesting and captivating fusions I've heard in a long time. It's hard to pinpoint all of the influences to be heard on this CD, but one thing is for sure -- it KICKS.
The lyrics are intelligent and masterfully delivered, the guitar work is outstanding, and every song is catchy and infectious. It runs the spectrum from hardcore, politically charged rap to uplifting and thought-provoking songs about family, personal accountability, and the state of the world we live in today. In contrast to a lot of music today, this entire CD has a purpose and will definitely draw you in with its many important messages.
Highly recommended for people who like rap, rock, or just generally great music that transcends genre.

- Flipsyde is beyond compare
I caught a video of these guys on the Disney channel while watching cartoons with my kids and decided to check them out. After listening to them for about the hundreth time I keep thinking back to all the hoopla about U2's Joshua Tree with it's combination of political and social issues and as far as relevance Flipsyde blows it away both musically and with profound lyrics. How these guys aren't as big as some of the crap that's on radio is beyond me.

- This is the future
In the monotony that is music nowadays, Flipsyde brings much overdue variety to the mix. A few weeks ago I caught them on Jay Leno, and I jus had to find out more about these guys. Ordered the cd on the 10th of this month, and it got here today. From begining to end, nothing but great music.
1. Someday- The great lead single from the cd that's being used for the winter olympic promos, and also the song the performed on Conan and Jay Leno, great way to start the cd.
2. Spun- Another single from the cd, sounds a lil bit like Someday, which worried me at first, but it's a great song either way.
3. US History- Great song, could proabably be a single
Those r jus the first three tracks, I mean when describing all the songs the first word that comes to mind is just great, that's the best way to describe this whole cd, deffinately more than worth the money. Also depending on where you get the CD the song Happy Birthday may be on there. Great emotionally charged song. I know a few people who've been through an abortion, so this song hit home for me. All and all, like I said, five start cd! Can't sleep on this one y'all!

- A great debut album!
I was suprised when I heard this CD. It is defiently good to hear something diffrent in the hip-hop genere. This group combinds rap and rock together perfectly. Not the Linkin Park rap rock, this is something entirley new and it works great.
Don't sleep on this album

- one of the better rap groups out there today
When I was younger, i used to listen to a lot of rap. But then as I got older, i got into hard rock and metal, and then into the hardcore/metalcore scene. Every now and then, ill buy a rap album by an artist i used to listen to, but i dont know why i felt compelled to pick "We The People" up. But im glad i did.
Mixing rock, latin, hip hop, r&b, and a couple other genre's, Flipsyde come out with an idea and identity that is completely original and all their's. Lyrically, the songsdeal with past us history, what's going on in the world today, and personal stryfe and demons. One of my favorite song's on this album is "Happy Birthday," A sad, heartfelt personal letter written by one of the group members to his child who was aborted. It brought me to tears when i first heard it.
Check these guys out. You wont be sorry.
