Disco de Fabolous: “Real Talk [Edited]”
Descripción (en inglés) :
Personnel: Fabolous; Lil' Mo, Mike Shorey, Nate Dogg, Paul Cain, Pharrell Williams, Sean Paul , Black Ice , Thara, Charlie Murphy, Young Jezzy. <p>On Fabolous's third studio record, REAL TALK, he claims that there is much more to him than his string of radio-friendly singles might indicate. That's not to say that the New York City rapper doesn't serve up simple, ready-for-radio moments in abundance, but even the first single, "Breathe," with its Supertramp sample and unusual path to a stunning hook, reveals an artist with much more depth. <p>"Don't Stop Won't Stop," which follows the striking intro, sports a sinister, Geto Boys-style backdrop and lyrics that embrace the familiar trappings of guns, cars, women, and pride, but with unexpected flashes of Zen beyond the usual laid-back bearing. Fabolous goes the more straightforward route on "Tit 4 Tat" and "Baby," both certainly capable of lighting up the radio. However, the highlight of REAL TALK may be on the mid-album track "Church," where, with the aid of the ever-entertaining Charlie Murphy, Fabolous envisions himself a preacher, a man who can convert people with the power of the words in his arsenal. Fabolous possesses a mind brimming with phraseology, and he brandishes his skills with power and ease, even as he continues to develop, making for an intriguing record rich with high hopes for the future.

- Real Talk, Real Better then Street Dreams

I have Always been a FaBo fan, Ever since the gangsta track with Nate Do-Double, his rhyme schemes and metaphors where the best coming from any new cat. His first album was a classic, but his second album just didn't grap me, and he fell into the sophmore jinx, or was just following the pattern of the best brooklyn rapper Jay-Z. First album is a classic, second album, too much trying to be mainstream. Third Album, blend the two together and make magic. Real Talk comes straight from the streets for fabolous with the great hip-hop track Breathe, produced by Just Blaze. He of course has some ladies and party tracks, but the best part is how he blends them together to give every track the same vibe. Its Real Talk, so listen up to a dope MC.

- Real Talk

I hate Seeing these stupid editorial reviews on albums that just disgust me I swear these guys would say "Illmatic was an ok album" Or summin like "Reasonable Doubt was ok jay-z could have came better" I 'm starting to think these guys ask 4th graders on what they think about albums, but newayz back to Real Talk, Fabolous only made club hits and commercial songs on his cd? That is prolly the must unprofessional review statement ever! In the the Song "Real Talk(123)" Fab even explains that "commercial Gangstas/ is played out now" he is not commercial, the only songs/club bangers on the cd is "Young and Sexy"(which is prolly the most chill club song) "Do the damn thing"(with Jeezy Hyping up the song, great for bumping too) And "Tit 4 Tat"(which Fab and Pharrell killed it, with a great beat and lyrics) And Whats this about Fab singing, WTH?!?!?!? He's Not a god damn 50spent, 50cent*, He sang on one Track "In my hood" which was an execllent song discrbing where he grew up, and it paints a picture in your head of his "hood" (no homo), This Rapper is lyrically talented to the full extent, trust me people, I listend to this album thorughly and no b.s it is an execllent buy,Another thing I wanted to address, Sean Paul Sounding like a phone recording, or like he sang over a phone(as said in the editorial review) is total nonsense, S.P sounds pefectly fine, In Conclusion, If U want an album with punchlines, story telling,Club bangers, chill muzik, gangsta muzik, and summin fo tha women or w.e get this album Fabolous=Versitile

- I hear you talkin'

Can't say that I was anticipating this album all that much but truth is when I heard it in my friend's car I was saying that I'm gonna get it. I skipped out on ghetto fabolous so this was a reuniting album for me. As always he's back with some pretty strong lyrical metaphors and beats. I didn't like breathe at first but it caught on to me and I found myself hitting the back button to replay it. "Ghetto," another West-meets-East type of song is good as well although can be found on his mixtapes. "Holla at Somebody Real"...I'm feeling what he's saying but the beat puts me to sleep. "Don't Stop Won't Stop"...cool beat, alright lyrics, the hook might of been a little more thought-out. and "Gangsta" which reminds of something 50 cent and his crew might do on a compilation. I wouldn't say his music is for the clubs. I can't imagine myself getting down to this. Instead, it's one of those pop it in your car stereo, turn the volume up, and cruise. There are tracks I skip over. And unless every track is a banger, I can't give this CD 5 stars. Overall, I think this CD is easy to listen to with good production and lyrics. I'm finding it more in my player than any other new stuff that just came out.
