On his debut album GHETTO FABOLOUS, the wily rapper injects his performances with enough subtlety to keep from sounding monochromatic; he never harangues the listener with nonstop shouting like so many lesser gangsta practitioners might. In addition, the production (partly handled by none other than beatmeister supreme Timbaland) is full of enough memorable hooks and radio-friendly beats to ensnare hip-hop fans who don't usually go for gangsta fare. Most importantly, Fabolous leavens his hardcore tales of "Keepin' it Gangsta" and "The Bad Guy" with a touch of levity, so things never get too heavy-handed. Fabolous manages to keep it real and keep things balanced at the same time; no mean feat in gangsta rap. <p>Fabolous may take great delight in presenting the seamier side of ghetto life and street thuggery, but there's more to him than that. - Fabolous is on his way to the top of the charts

This album was hot. I love every track. I especially love the song he has out now (Can't Deny It). I think Fabolous has a long future in the rap game. I can't wait for the second album to drop.

- Fabolous ~ HOT NEW MC

Fabolous' new cd "Ghetto Fabolous", has some of the tightest beats that I have heard in a long time. This cd is something that you just have to pop in ya car. The beats were very nicely produced, and even though a lot of people are saying he can't rap and isnt lyrical, Just because hes not the fastest MC to date, doesnt mean he doesnt have a lot of skill. I suggest that if you like VERY nice beats, and good rap, that you go out and buy "Fabolous-Ghetto Fabolous" NOW!

- This CD is F-A, B-O, L-O, U-S

I've been a Fabolous fan since I first heard him on DJ Clue's The Professional (Part 1). Since then, I have been trying to get all of his songs and freestyles. I was excited when I first heard that this album was droppin.

You just know that this CD would be good when you have a great lyricist (Fabolous), a well-known name (Ja Rule), one of the top R&B groups (Jagged Edge) & the man who has a ton of guest spots (Nate Dogg). And that is only the artists....producing you have The Neptunes, Timbaland, DJ Clue, Rockwilder, DJ Envy & Duro. This equals success already.

Fabolous has tight lyrics on the album, and at times you gotta pause the CD to try to understand it. The beats are tight, and you can easly listen to the whole album in entirety. This is an interesting CD because the themes of the songs change from track to track, yet you gotta like em all. This CD has some of the best beats I've ever heard and the thing that maes them really good is that Fabolous doesn't seem to be fighting the music, he just flows perfectly with it. His voice is one that can be put to any beat and it still sounds good.

Below is my track rating (1-5)

Also included on this CD are 3 bonus tracks (one of which is 15 seconds of silence), the music video to Can't Deny It & Enhanced CD software.

This CD is nuthin' short OF Fabolous! I luv every single song on this cd cuz all the beats are amazing, the lyrics are tyght, and it's now one of my very favorite rap cd's. I listened to it every day goin' to school one year, and i'm still listenin' to it a year later. If you don't have this yet, you betta hop down to manifest or best buy RIGHT NOW, and cop this disc. Totally off the hook. Fabolous job Fabolous

- Good CD

Now I'm not prone to hip-hop or rap much (unless it's a certain style and has a good backing melody). Not because I think it's stupid, it just ain't my cup of tea. But Fabolous caught my ear in 2001 and I haven't been able to get over this CD ever since. "Can't Deny It" is by far one of the best tracks on the entire album, but "Young'n," "Get Smart" and "Ma' Be Easy" are all great cuts too. This album is the dope and is a great buy for any hip-hop or rap music listener.
