A founder member of the groundbreaking rap band NWA, Eazy E later feuded with his fellow artists (even going so far as to simulate the murder of one of them, Dr. Dre, on 1993's "It's On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa"), and courted controversy with murderous jibes at the police and the F.B.I. <p>In what is also something of a tribute to the violent and creative impulses of its creator, IMPACT OF A LEGEND still sounds fresh today. Cuts such as "Cock the 9," "Ruthless Life," and "Still Fuckem" retain their dramatic impact, and in places E's rapping sounds almost musical--though not enough to obscure the ugliness of lines such as "A bitch is a bitch..." Although these tracks were all recorded in the mid-'90s, the sound is vintage rather than dated; the rap world may have caught up with Eazy E's vision, but it hasn't yet surpassed it.

- One of the best ep's ever made

Not only does the actual ep have 8 tracks and all of them being absolute classics the best thing about Impact of a legend is that It comes with a dvd featuring heaps of the ruthless records families hit video clips and the dvd also features a autobiography, a ruthless records mega mix and has unseen interviews with eazy-e. This ep is a must get for any Eazy-e fan.

- R.I.P. Crip'sta E aka The Hip Hop Thugsta!

Born Eric Wright in Compton, CA in 1963, Eric Wright at the age of 16 dropped out of El Dominguez High School, in Compton, CA. Eric Wright became a drug-peddler and in Compton, his own city easly gained his street name "Eazy-E', namely Eazy Eric. Eazy-E became soonly became a legendary drug dealer in Los Angeles, which Eazy-E rolled with the Kelly Park Crips, yet deceded from the Crip gangs, then took $25,000 of his drug money and hooked up with Jerry Heller.

Impact On A Legend doesn't feature Eazy-E's homies MC Ren, Gangsta Dresta, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre or anyother of his Ruthless Homies. Though it does include artists such as Phalos Mode, Loco S.A.B., Loesta, Roc Slanga, The Genie, Cashish, and more. The beats to pretty much almost every track are solid gangsta, though there are very few song, its worth buying if your a True Eazy-E fan!

- GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has a great dvd with film-clips, lost footage, a ruthless records video megamix, a documentary & lots more. It also comes with a cd with 8 new songs. Every song on the cd is awesome. It also comes with a booklet comic and also a poster. This is one of the best albums i've ever bought.

- kiss the ring...it's the godfather of gangsta rap

the dvd is off the hook, a lot of music videos for you real hip-hop or eazy heads. you will not be dissappointed with the dvd. the interview is tight, the behind the scenes of ruthless records was tight. to be honest, i only got this dvd hoping bone was on it, and they were. they are one of my favorite rap groups but without the man eazy-e, there would not be any bone thugs-n-harmony. the cd is maad right, although i question their originality. sometimes they sound real tight, really nice. other times i'm wondering if they just chopped the songs up to feature other artists thereby expanding more unused eazy material to capatalize on. but w/e, the cd is HOT, very nice. it's a nice cross of "new old skool." the tracks are no doubt ol skool gangsta rap, but with a bit of modern g flava. if e was still around, this is exactly what rap and hip hop would sound like. eric wright r.i.p. 11423

- About time we had some more Eazy

Well somebody remembered the late Eazy E, Why not put out some more stuff by the godfather of gangster rap. Before 2pac, and Biggie there was Eazy who put compton on the map and told the world F the police. These are 6 songs we oldheads deserve more than 6 songs plus a video game, videos and a documemtary about his life, rise and fall. Eazy started ruthless records along with NWA memebers Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Yella, Arabian prince, Laylaw, and started the careers of artists such as

Michel'le, the D.O.C., above the law, JJ Fad, Kokane, CPO, Black eyed Peas, Sylk e fine, Bone Thugs and harmony, B.G. knocc out and dresta and others. R.I.P. Eazy your legacy lives on.
