- Definitely worth hearing
The Dub Pistols take you on a journey through the land of breaks. I have heard most of the tracks on this album before, but I like all the tracks and they are conveniently mixed together.
The mixing is okay, most of it is just slap fades, but there aren't any train wrecks and the track selection is awesome. It really feels like you're going somewhere when you listen to it.
A few of the tracks worth mentioning are: Northern Lights - Treat Me Better, Afrika Bambaataa - Funky Heroes, and Audio Bullys - Real Life. The last track by Alpinestars brings you down nice and gently and just makes the whole experience feel so good.
I was a bit disappointed with the last Y4K album I bought, Tayo, but I have really enjoyed several other albums from the Y4K series so I thought I'd give this one a shot. I'm really glad I did. If you liked the General Midi Y4K then you'll like this one too.
Oh by the way, Amazon has the wrong cover art linked to this one. They are showing Tayo, not the Dub Pistols.

- i will make this fast, i will get right to the point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, ready here goes. all i listen to is electronica/dance music. everything from trance to house, and i love breaks. i listen to everyone from icey/babyann, uberzone, all the way to the uk joint's. freeland, rennie, freestylers. out of all the breaks cd's i own, and this is no lie, this one has to be number 1. no kidding folks. from the first song to the last, there is a complete and awesome, never ending flow. solid base lines, solid and hardng base lines. little things here and there that tickle the deepest parts of your noggin. this disk has rappish style to some songs, but not the rap crap that is out to day. tight words with meaning. look, bottom line, if you like breaks, get it, i promise you you will love this cd. if u are new to breaks and are looking for other artist------------> freestylers, uberzone, adam freeland, meat katie, plump dj's, SOUL OF MAN<-----they are freaking awesome also. baby ann, dj icey, dalyn ryhmes, hmmmm, let me get back to you. but in the men time, get this cd. and that my friends is the fo real deal yo, dj willie will spinnin da fo real, peace out homies and homettes!!!!!!!!!!!
