- But which version?

There are actually two distinct versions of this single. The UK version has 4 tracks:

Midnight In A Perfect World

Midnight In A Perfect World (Gab Mix) (5:20)

Midnight In A Perfect World (Extended Version) (9:53)

Mutual Slump

The US version has:

Midnight In A Perfect World

The Number Song

Red Bus Needs To Leave (2:41)

Midnight In A Perfect World (Gab Mix) (5:20)

The Number Song (Cut Chemist Party Mix) (5:09)

Now that the 2-disc version of Entroducing has come out, all the bonus stuff from the US is easy to get, and the extended version of Midnight on the UK can also be found on the One to Grow On promo. All very good stuff. The single version of Midnight also has an extra spoken sample at the beginning. If you've seen the video, it's the one being said by the guy sitting at the desk. I would recommend getting the UK version if either as the US is now redundant to anyone but completionists.

- A good secondary Shadow CD

Hey, if you've got Entroducing, and you dig Midnight in a Perfect World, this followup EP is worth it. A couple of new mixes that will haunt you and get you thinking.

Go Shadow!

- John The Hippy

I don't know enough about whatever genre this is to review the music (although it is pleasing to my ears). I can only review the photograph on the cover. That's my friend's old business partner "John the hippy" from his days at Below Zero Records (i.e. the back room of Steve's Collectables in Merced, CA). John was a unique character. His squeaky voice. His rotten teeth. His dingleberries left lying around the shop. His burning incense causing a fire in the store (resulting in certain LP covers bearing burnt edges). His infinite musical knowledge. His connections to Elvis Presley, Tina Turner and David Bowie (he did Tarot readings for the latter two in LA). He crossed paths with Charles Manson at some point and was so repulsed by him he refused to deal with Manson collectibles. The unique/one-of-a-kind items he had were basically thrown away. But anyway, its a beautiful photo. And I'm shocked to see him looking so clean, as if he actually bathed. I bought this on 12" vinyl for the photo alone.

- SCARY

This song is scary, that's why I like it. This song would be perfect for halloween.
