- Worth the import fee

I just finished listening through Private Repress and it is an amazing disc. I decided to spend a little extra and buy the import because it has the Z-Trip mix on it. Z-Trip is an amazing up and coming DJ, as well as a friend of Shadow. Shadow has also outdone himself with the Six Days remixes, which are available on other singles, but the Soulwax mix and the Mos Def mix (track 6) are just killer. Through in the extended radio mix of Walkie Talkie and you have yourself an essential recording. If you own Private Press, definitely complete the collection and buy the repress.

- Hot Damn

This is the album that got me hooked on Dj Shadow. It's been a steady progression of DJ Shadow cd aquisitions for me since I heard this one at the reccomendation of a friend. Oddly enough, I have yet to get the original of this album, but as far as I'm concerned, this version kicks all kinds of ass by itself. I've been looking for a mix of beats like this for a long time.

- Wow

If it wasn't availiable on Amazon I'd be purchasing a plane ticket to Japan, so it's relativly expensive price is well worth it.

- a waste of time and money.

A Japan-only release, this is a remix album based on The Private Press. It's all over the place; there are bizarre choices like the rock guitar in "Six Days (Soulwax Mix)" or Mos Def rapping over a different and unspecified version of "Six Days", semi-interesting novelties like an extended version of "Walkie Talkie", and truly bad ideas like the U.N.K.L.E. remix of "GDMFSOB" with Roots Manuva on the mic. I mean, who wants a crappy trance-rap remix of a DJ Shadow song? Freakin' nobody. This thing was just a bad idea. If you think this music is fantastic, chances are you won't really enjoy DJ Shadow.
