Chingy Album: “Hate It or Love It [PA]”
Description :
On his fourth solo release, HATE IT OR LOVE IT, St. Louis representative Chingy presents listeners with another batch of radio-friendly, undeniably charismatic candy-rap club anthems. Versatile as ever, Chingy adopts a distinctive Snoop/Slick Rick-type flow on "Check My Swag," slows things down for the lusty Kanye-esque sex ballad "Gimme Dat," spits rapid-fire lyrics on "All Aboard (Ride It)," and tries his hand at hardcore on "Roll On." HATE IT OR LOVE IT features production from Michael Davis, Cool & Dre, L.T. Moe, the Co-Stars, and Khao, among others, as well as guest appearances by Amerie, Bobby Valentino, Steph Jones, Trey Songz, Anthony Hamilton, Ludacris, and Rick Ross.

- Still hurrrrrr hu!

I can't belelieve ching a ling is still around. This is not the hip hop is dead era, no my friend we are in the rap comedy years look at this list of talent this guy, soulja boy, shawty lo, mike jones, d4l, plies, unk the n!@@a calls himself unk, dj kaled mr. we da bes, dipset as click, record label and a mfn crew, thats enough naming these fool. I did not capitalize names on purpose. I'm guessing luda signed this dude because he figured he was cute enough to sell some cd's to chicks. He is a chick rapper just like nelly and bow wow. But, they have a better track record. I didn't say better they have just sold more cd's than cuz. In this era of rap where in no wonder lil wayne seems like the best rapper alive. I like wayne but he is wearing a little thin on me. I peeped his whole style as LL said on his Mr. Smith album he is a metaphore freak. For example I stay on track like a pair of pummas, and I'm not on cruise control I control the cruise. Yeah he spits fire but it usually involves some metaphore which always goes back to how great he thinks he is or how much money he has blah, blah, blah heard it before wayne. Anyway I didn't really review this album more like vented on the sorry state of rap. I'm sure you have heard this befor but Lupfiascos album is fire and so is Chammilinairs go by those if you want something new with quality. Peace

- Not great, not bad

I had heard "Roll On Em'" and absolutely had to have it. I found the album was pretty cheap, so I figured I'd just buy the whole album. I wasn't expecting too much, and figured that it would be the only song that I liked, but I was pleasantly surprised by the rest of the album. It starts out pretty strong, with lots of collaborations and a little bit of variety. The end isn't as strong except "Roll on em" like I mentioned. Not bad, but not the best album that I've ever heard either.

- Chiny has stepped his Lyrical Game up!!!

He has stepped his lyrical game up a bit...but he is still hot garbage unfortunately. Go check out Lupe Fiasco's The Cool if you want good music =)

- Please people review THIS album...

If you're going to criticize another work, review the album not other people's work.

Anyway, this album isn't half bad. There's more good than bad here. I heard

, it was good but there was more bad.

was just terrible but there were some bangers. Less good, more bad. See, Chingy isn't about lyrics but he makes enjoyable music. From the start, Chingy left room for improvement. This album has that, somewhat. I still feel like Ludacris needs to be a (bigger) mentor for the young rapper. If this can be done, he can become one of the better pop rappers. This album doesn't really have a complete new altitude but it seems like this album could be a turning point for Chingy.

So yeah, this isn't The Cool, but it is a fun album. Don't look this way if you can't have good time with your music and always need to have your elitist music. 3.5/5

- Take a guess if I hate it or love it....lol

Here we go again "ding-a-ling" is back with another completely inferior release. Hate It features 12 really wack tracks and 2 really stupid skits to accompany them. Dingy's lyrics are the same kindergarten style rhyme patterns with the immature subject matter to go along with it (just like his other albums). I have to admit when bs like this comes out it makes me appreciate real emcees like mos def and kweli. She males like ding-a-ling help to put hip hop in the grave. So my vote for this album and all the rest of dingy's albums is HATE IT.
