This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.

Personnel: Cassidy (rap vocals); Mary J. Blige (vocals); Fabolous, Lil Wayne, Mario, Mashonda, Nas, Raekwon, Swizz Beatz, Quan (rap vocals).

Fearless freestyler Cassidy opens his second release, I'M A HUSTLA, on a genius note, poking fun at himself while showing off his seemingly immeasurable skills. On the opening track, "The Problem vs. the Hustla," he sets up an MC battle between his two personalities: the relentless hustler who shot through the underground with mix-tape classics, and the polished, mainstream rapper who sold millions with his debut record SPLIT PERSONALITY. This cut, with its unique approach, super-quick wit, and underdog victory (the hustla wins), sets the tone for I'M A HUSTLA, a rawer record than the first, but one which retains much of its predecessor's luster.

The title track, with its irregular flow, fiery lyrics peppered with hilarious one-liners, and ace Swizz Beats production is unforgettable. The rest of the set mixes in slick tracks on gangster life with disarmingly reflective cuts including "Can't Fade Me," where Cassidy matches rhymes with the legendary Nas, and "The Message" where he eases into a sad look at the world. Unfortunately, Cassidy's inner conflicts and street stories spilled into his real life (he spent the album's release behind bars on a murder charge). Given his immense talent, fans could only hope that Cassidy's troubles wouldn't prevent him from recording again soon.

- Worth the Good Reviews
This is a good Hip Hop album that should be bought. This album is better then his first joint. This may even be in the Top 20 this year the last one was decent but did not have the tracks of this. There are some good battle rhymes on here. It is nothing spectacular but it is pretty good CD for 2005. Check it out now because if you like Beanie Sigel are Freeway you will probally like this album.

- Straight crack
Swizz Beatz has to retire. His beats are so whack and its the same crap everytime. His days are over. (I hope he doesn't ruin DMX's new album) However, Cassidy has proven to the critics that a battle rapper can put out a solid album. He really shines on the freestyle, track number one. If his album were more like this with fewer love songs, i would of gave the battle mc out of Philly 5 stars, despite swizz beatz's being the executive producer. Definitely will be in my car for the rest of the summer. Too bad he's in jail for murder.

- Cassidy - I'm A Hustla
This album is close to a 5/5 but a couple of poor tracks lower it to a 4. Cassidy is not the best mc or lyricist, but hooked up with Swiss Beatz to make a good production with very good beats on this album. "I'm A Hustla", the first single, brought instant attention towards this album which was well deserved. There are a few good calaberations here as well. Overall this was a better output than Cassidy's debut.
top tracks:
1-a.m. to p.m.
2-6 minutes of death (f. lil' wayne & fabolous)
3-kick it wit' you (f. mario)
4-c-bonics
5-on the grind

- CAUTION - This CD may open computer to viruses.
This CD contains MediaMax DRM copy protection which exposes all PCs to viruses. This CD installs software to a user's PC EVEN if the user answers "No" to the End User License.
Stay away from all Sony CDs with MediaMax software - otherwise you risk corruption of your computer. Hopefully, Sony will do the right thing and recall these 6 Million+ CDs before they do any more harm. (Sony already recalled the other 4 Million CDs that contained XCP spyware.)
