Since the set's 18 tracks are arranged chronologically, the listener can chart Busta's progression from a young upstart in Leaders of the New School, through his breakout debut single (the irrepressibly infectious "Woo Hah!! Got You All in Check"), and all the necessary highlights from his four platinum solo albums. One of the testaments to Busta's greatness is his range and versatility--he sounds as at-home on soul-smooth duets with female R&B singers ("It's a Party" with Zhane, "One" with Erykah Badu) as he does spitting lickety-split rhymes on "Dangerous." Thanks to Rhino for putting together this definitive, much-needed compilation.

This compliation contains almost all of Busta's singles and the tracks that have through the years of Busta Rhymes' turbulent career enjoyed the greatest success. It does not, unfortunately feature the singles off his last album (that was Genesis at the time of the release), which is a bit of a downside to the compilation. Still, to people that are not fans of Busta, but want to get a nice feel of his work, this is a certainly suitable compilation. However, this album can't in any way attract the attention of Busta Rhymes fans, as it features nothing new (also, to fans the legitimacy of the tracklisting will seem doubtable). In conclusion, if you want to get into Busta's music, this is a satisfactory starter.

I must admit I was a little late getting into Busta, but now that I'm in, it's alot of fun. He has a great flow, and is definitely unique among his peers. This is a super "best of" that includes everything that I (a casual fan), have ever heard from him. Most of this is good, but my faves are "Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check", "Dangerous", "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See", and "Party is Goin' On Over Here". Plus it has "What's It Gonna Be" with Janet, and the cool "Turn It Up(remix)/Fire It Up", which samples the theme from "Knight Rider". After one listen to this sweet collection, you'll be saying "Gimme Some More".

I recently purchased this CD and was previously aware of Busta Rhymes' work but not a fan. This is my first purchase of his music and I'm pretty much hooked on him now! He's pretty cool, funny and a really good lyricist. The beats are unique and his style unlike anthing I've ever heard or seen before. I dig him.
