Review - AMG :
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony had only released two albums and an EP, plus a handful of side projects, when they released Collection, Vol. 1 in the fall of 1998. Usually, that would be the sign of a rip-off, but since their albums have been notoriously uneven, this functions as a useful summary for both casual and hardcore fans alike, since it contains all of their best songs, from "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "For tha Love of Money" to "1st of tha Month" and "Tha Crossroads." It also contains their cover of N.W.A.'s "Fuck tha Police," previously only available on a tribute album. It may be of interest to collectors, but it's a weak cover and is the only thing marring this otherwise fine compilation. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music GuideReview - :
More of an odds-and-ends collection than a best-of, {$Bone Thugs-N-Harmony}'s {^Collection, Vol. 2} compiles various non-album songs by the group, among them a few remixes. As such, the gap-filling release is mainly for completists and shouldn't be mistake for a best-of, since it's far, far from that. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
