It's been a little over 3 years since Big Mike's last album, and he comes back with a very nice 4.5 star album; and my 2nd favorite of his (behind "Hard To Hit" - 1999). He also has three other albums that are borderline 4/4.5 stars ("Somethin Serious" - 1994, "Naw'lins Phats" - 2005, and "Keep It Playa" - 2006, and a 4 star album in "Still Serious" - 1997). Also being a part of Geto Boys in early/mid 90's, and he has an album with 3-2 from 1991 called "Convicts", so one can see he is a veteran in the rap game and has constantly dropped solid albums through the past 18 years (when he wasn't locked up). This one has 14 songs (2 are on his "Keep It Playa" album as well), 2 are almost calssic material, 1 is ok, the other 11 are good or great songs. As always you get some street tales over some tight funky southern beats, the same formula he consitantly has done and done well over his rap career. Guests do the hook on 4 songs and other than that it's all Big Mike. Production is great as well thoguh no production credits are given so you don't know who it's handled by. A must have album from one of the south's finest rappers, and check his other albums out as well, you should be satisfied with his work.
