Unlike half of the world, I've maintained a neutrality with 50 Cent and G-Unit. I don't love them, but I also don't hate them. I'll accept when they will put out good music and will know when they've put out wack music. This single "If I Can't" is actually one of 50's better songs, from his album "Get Rich Or Die Trying" (2003). One of my friends had this in his car and I decided to give it a spin. The Dr. Dre produced "If I Can't" was a standout because of the piano beat that had my head nodding, and which I enjoyed. 50's rhymes are reasonably good throughout this song here.
Then you have the live versions of "What Up Gangsta" and "In Da Club". Both songs are overrated and "What Up Gangsta" borders wack if you ask me. "In Da Club" was decent, but hearing both songs live was totally unapealing to me. It kind of made me wish if I attended that concert that he performed those songs, I would have not been too happy.
Also the instrumental of "If I Can't" isn't on here. Why I don't know. I liked the vocal because of the Dr. Dre beat, but it not being on here was a big let down. Unless you really need this here and are a die hard 50/G-Unit fan, just buy the "Get Rich Or Die Trying". I don't know why my friend had this to begin with, but I felt that he wasted his money.
